“And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
Hebrews 4:13 NKJV
Hello, there! My name is Gloria Oluwafikayomi Odebunmi.
I am a writer and I am also a law student;
That is my first point.
When you read “law student”, what came to your mind? Black and white? Most surely. Hehehe.
Everybody knows how significant it is to Law.
Now that we’ve established that fact, we will move on to the next. Shall we?
I think one thing that any law student can relate to is the question people ask whenever they’re not in their “outfit”. Black and white.
I know there are times that I wear coloured clothes and the people that know I study Law automatically assume I don’t have classes.

The point here is that there is already a way I am seen; a way people identify me.
When you look in the mirror, what do you see?
You see yourself. You do not see another person, except if another person is there with you, though.😂
As long as you are alone, you see only yourself.
The whole point of these two scenarios is; we know ourselves. You cannot mistake yourself for another person.
I don’t think that’s possible.
It is also funny how people even have ways they recognise you.
For example, I know my friends by how they talk, smell or dress. I just can identify them, even if I’m sleeping.😂
The same way, God knows you. When he looks at you, he sees you.
He will not mistake you for your sibling, no matter how much you look alike.
God sees you. He truly does.
He knows who you are.
We can see in Hebrews 4:13 that God truly sees us. He sees through our hiding.
He wants you to come to the knowledge of who are.
He wants you to look in the mirror and see you. Just you!
He wants you to see yourself through his lens.
He wants you to see yourself the way he does.
He looks at you and sees so much pride. My goodness!
He doesn’t want you to look in the mirror and see another person. He wants you to see yourself as the main actor.
He wants you to know that he knows you, everything about you.
He wants you to see that you are in his will for you. That alone, is a big achievement.
He doesn’t want you to look and see a small version of yourself.
He wants to show you an even clearer picture of yourself.
If only you knew how much you mattered in God’s agenda. If only you knew!
So look in the mirror today and see yourself the way God sees you.
Look in the mirror today and see a very perfect work of art, made by a very perfect God.
Look in the mirror today and see the reflection of God’s very nature. Yasss, that’s you!😌
Look in the mirror today and see YOU!❤️
Gloria! It's so true that people often have preconceived notions about certain professions, like law students always wearing black and white. 😄 But you're right, we shouldn't judge a book by its cover! And you make a great point about how God sees us for who we truly are, not mistaking us for someone else. It's comforting to know that we are known and loved by Him. Keep shining Gloria! ✨
